EVERYTHING OR NOTHING
COURAGE 108 ¤ 27 MARCH 2010
SPORTS PALACE, MADRID SPAIN

PRO-WRESTLING WITHOUT PITY: RECAPLET
* Usually held on Thursday nights, COURAGE 108 took place on a Saturday night this week due to some unknown logistical issues, and kicked off in style with Jade Argent squaring off against Vince Jacobs. Argent looked good in there against the experienced Jacobs, and had plenty of cheating tricks up his sleeve. Vince being the old sly dog that he was had some cheats of his own to share, but had to bow down to Argent's debut of a move dubbed Spit Struck. Despite that, Jacobs emerged the winner after a handful of tights, exposing half of Jade's bum to the fans in the process.

* Vince Jacobs didn't have time to celebrate though, for Sharc came up and viciously attacked the multiple-time World Champion with a glass mirror! Sharc went on to annihilate Jacobs, and even threatened to cut him up with a sharp shard of glass. Trey Vincent of all people intervened in the nick of time, but Vincent had more sinister ideas in mind. Having seen Sharc's display against Jacobs, Vincent offered Sharc the opportunity to fulfil a longtime goal: taking out Alias, once and for all. Trey offered Sharc the chance to go up against Alias later in the show, a challenge which Alias himself accepted on Sharc's behalf. Alias vowed to Sharc that when they battled each other later in the show, it would be a fight to the death, and that Alias would match Sharc blow for blow.

* After all of that mayhem, senior referee Henry Irwonsen popped up on the SlyTron, talking about the history of ACW spanning 1993 to 1998. Irwonsen made reference to that time period being labelled as The Spirit Of ACW Era. A fantastic look at the rich history of the federation. Highly entertaining stuff.

* Z was chilling backstage, gloating over him pulling a fast one over Chris Moliano the previous week. Unfortunately for Z, SilverHAWK came up to him and laid down the law: injured or not, HAWK did not appreciate being made a fool of by Z's supposed no-show claim last week and ordered Z to take on Chris Moliano later in the show... or else risk being fired. Z didn't seem happy as he accept the ultimatum of the Boss, but just as quickly seemed okay with the turn of events.

* Next, Trevor Wilson was staring at his locker-room door. Mainly because it had been branded by Midnight Cowboy. That's right. Wilson wasn't quite shaking with rage, but it was clear that he was not pleased.

* Hometown boys Manuel et la Bull (that was indeed the official tandem name for the pairing of Manuel and Bull) took on Irish Spring next in a nice little tag team contest. It was made known to everyone that the match should have occured last week, but transportation problems plagued Irish Spring. After a fair bit of back and forth that highlighted the various abilities of all four men, it was Irish Spring that triumphed. Manuel et la Bull got a pretty nice reception from their native crowd, though. Perhaps they'll be offered a short-term contract?

* Alias and Jesse Ramey were having another one of their chats backstage. Alias was thanking Ramey for his assistance last week, and touched on the fact that he was officially World Champion for 100 days now. Ramey touched on Keller possibly letting himself be pinned by Ramey on purpose last week, and once again turned down a shot at Alias and the World Title.

* Callie Urban and Spike Saunders came out to the ring dressed in formal wear, making their first official address to the legion of ACW fans. The Entourage made mention of their mission to cleanse and save ACW. That was, until Buddy Saxon popped up on the SlyTron in a welcome bit of interruption. Saxon cut to the chase, stating that he felt The Entourage would try to challenge for the Tag Team Titles, but he and a friend had put forth a challenge to the Champions first. Saxon's friend was revealed to be Rud Albion, and they were the tandem of England's Best! All four competitors traded barbs for a bit, and eventually settled on two challenge matches for the night -- Buddy versus Callie, Rud versus Spike. Interesting times ahead for the Tag Team division.

* New hire Matthew Sanchez exited SilverHAWK's office having secured a contract, and revealed that he would have a State Of The Future address coming up later in the show.

* And then, it was time for Chris Moliano's screaming revenge. The match should have taken place last week, but Z's trickery prevented that from happening. There was no escape for Z this time, and the Caped Crusader quickly found himself feeling the full force of Moliano's unrestricted rage in the opening moments of the match. From there, Z somewhat let his guard down... and appeared to let Chris Moliano run roughshod all over him. Chris Moliano picked up the win, but it all seemed a little too easy. Everybody's suspicions were confirmed when Z taunted Chris with his final words of the night -- "was it worth it, Christopher?"

* Iceman followed up with another one of his profanity-laced rant backstage. The topic? The same thing he's been raving about for weeks; facing Omega for the Scorpion Fighting Title at LEGENDS IV. Still, it was effectively done as always and Iceman looks to be gearing up for a hellacious showdown with Omega.

* SilverHAWK popped up on the SlyTron to announce a World Series between three individuals who couldn't keep themselves in check; Keller, Ramey and Argent. Match 1 of the World Series kicked off moments later, featuring Ramey going one-on-one with the King Shit Of Fuck Mountain himself.

* Unfortunately for Keller, an evenly-fought match ended in defeat for him, courtesy of a slight distraction from Jade Argent. Not to take away anything from Ramey, who continues to see his stock rise after another impressive showing in the ring.

* Backstage, JP Boudreau of the All-Star Academy was gearing up for a match with fellow Academy member Jack Harris. Naturally, JP was worried... but a chat with Orlando Grant on his iPhone seemed to put JP's focus back on track. As an aside, how many people have iPhones nowadays? Talk about overkill.

* The first of two challenge matches came up, with Buddy Saxon taking on Callie Urban. The former wanted to snap his losing streak, the latter would be featuring in her debut match in ACW. Saxon's and Urban's respective partners were at ringside, with Spike doubling up as the third man on commentary. Buddy and Callie had a great match together, going back and forth for about five minutes or so. Eventually, Callie kicked it into high gear and pulled out the victory.

* Which then brought everyone to the second challenge match; Rud Albion squaring off against Spike Saunders. Rud showed no fear despite his opponent's mammoth size, and the two men went toe-to-toe for a few minutes before Spike unexpectedly exited the ring and left with Callie Urban in tow. Rud Albion picked up the win via count-out, but it was evident that The Bronze Lion would have preferred a more definitive form of victory.

* One of the most hilarious segments in ACW history then transpired, with Trey Vincent venting his frustrations out on Jesse Ramey. The latter had somewhat saved Alias the week prior, and Vincent was not pleased about that. Cue his mockery of Jesse Ramey coupled with the low-level harrassing of backstage interviewer Jenna McMullen. Jesse responded back in kind with his own mockery of Trey Vincent. Eventually, Trey returned to the land of seriousness and vowed that revenge for his plans being thwarted would be served sooner rather than later.

* In the ring, Shawn Jessica Hart talked about making amends, obviously referring to his attack on senior referee Henry Irwonsen weeks ago. Ol' Irwonsen himself was invited down to the ring, and that's where things turned ugly. Shawn Hart forced Henry to admit that a mistake was made at the last PPV when it was ruled Alias had defeated SJH to retain the ACW World Title. Irwonsen refused to budge, and that resulted in SJH going absolutely ballistic. Until, surprisingly enough, Keith Scott Zimmerman rode in on the proverbial white horse to save the day. Shawn Jessica Hart basically reaffirmed his singular goal: the ACW World Title.

* SilverHAWK was not having the best of nights, it seemed, as he caught up with SlySports Executive Jeremy Hunt. A harsh exchange of words were had, and there appears to be bad blood simmering between the two authority figures policing ACW now. Still not much in the way of exposition regarding FIGHT NIGHT.

* In hiding ever since his defeat to Alias weeks ago, Jack Harris was back in the ring and took on JP Boudreau in singles competition. JP hung on as long as he could, looking somewhat credible for a while, until Jack's power eventually took over. The Pikey Madman won rather emphatically in the end, but it didn't end there. The mysterious attacker that had been targetting the members of the All-Star Academy on recent editions of COURAGE made his appearance again, and absolutely decimated JP Boudreau in front of Harris. The beast and Harris appeared to share a look of some sort, but nothing that suggested they knew each other.

* Trevor Wilson and Kati took their place in the ring next, with Wilson talking about how he couldn't further ignore something wrong that was going on. He was clearly talking about the way Midnight Cowboy had been reminding Wilson about his non-title victory a couple of weeks ago. To that effect, ACW's only current double champion called for MC to come down. After a short discussion, Trevor told MC that a title shot would be given so that matters could be settled for one and for all. It's worth nothing that Midnight Cowboy was receiving huge reactions from the fans, and it's obvious that the crowd loves him. Even with the beatdown Trevor Wilson rained down upon MC after a handshake to seal the deal.

* The Entourage were backstage, seemingly preparing to leave the arena. But, Spike Saunders did have time to offer some words of wisdom as to why he walked out midway through his match with Rud Albion. Callie Urban got in a few potshots at backstage interviewer Jenna McMullen. Rough night for Jenna, but then again, it's rumoured she supposedly likes it rough...

* And then, it was time for Trey Vincent and KSZ to get it on in the ring one more time. Both men exploded out of the starting blocks, but Zimmerman's tunnel vision on beating Trey meant that he was in control early on. Trey Vincent put an end to proceedings by attacking Keith with a black cane, drawing the disqualification loss. And as per the stipulations, that meant KSZ had earned himself a shot at the World Title on next week's broadcast of COURAGE. One question remained; would it be Alias or Sharc as his opponent?

* We wouldn't find out straight away since there was still a lot of time. That meant Matthew Sanchez had the opportunity to come out to the ring, and for a 18 year old kid, displayed quite a fair bit of gumption in addressing the capacity crowd. Sanchez didn't exactly endear himself to the crowd with his words, and issued an open challenge for anyone to face him in competition next week.

* Alias checked up on his old friend Henry Irwonsen backstage, who seemed to be in a safe condition. KSZ, getting a once-over on the leg that Trey Vincent had attacked during their match earlier, was thanked by Henry for the save even earlier in the show. Keith didn't make a fuss of it, and had a few words with his old rival Alias.

* Sven Avsbern was seen loitering backstage, and after spying on Kristinia Kage (who'd been toiling in the All-Star Academy in recent weeks) from afar, went up to talk to her. It seemed the two used to wrestle together, and Sven even knew Kage's late father. The two did a bit of catching up, and Sven put forth a proposal for Kristinia to be the Swedish War Machine's opponent in his debut match next week. Kristinia seemed okay with the idea, which brought a rather eerie smile to Sven's face.

* Hometown boy Carrachio Salfuego had the unique opportunity of competing in front of his family, friends and thousands of other citizens of Madrid. His opponent? The vile Iceman. Carrachio gave Iceman a run for his money for a few minutes, but the former Scorpion Fighting Champ eventually prevailed.

* Trey Vincent's awesome brand of insults made Khristain Keller the latest victim, and Vincent didn't hold back on letting Keller know his true feelings about what happened last week. Khristain acted all cool, but that wasn't enough to stop from Trey to just go bananas with his insults.

* Having earned a shot at the Tag Team Titles on a recent All-Star Academy event, the team of Rory Hayes and Johnny Long were eager to stop the winning streak of the Pop Culture Phenoms. Alas for the team known as RESPECT, Ed and Klein were in fine form, and dispatched off the challengers in record time to retain the Tag Team Titles.

* Which then segued into Ed going off on a rant about how underhanded The Entourage's methods of integrating into ACW were. That brought out Spike and Callie, which was a bit of a shock because it seemed as if they'd left earlier in the show. Naturally, Klein ran for cover and Ed & Spike got into a fist-fight in the ring. Within moments, Rud Albion and Buddy Saxon came sprinting down. Buddy had unfinished business with Callie, and so did Rud with Spike. A good ol'-fashioned pier six brawl had developed, which meant that the tag team division was once again well and truly alive.

* And finally, we came to the main event. Sharc against Alias. Sharc's mission since coming into ACW last year was to claim a victory over the Original Pulp Hero, and this time there was money & the ACW World Title at stake. An absolutely fierce contest between the two enemies unfolded, with neither wanting to give up. Counters, counters to counters and reversals galore were on display. In the end, Alias managed to squeak out the win courtesy of a victory roll. Immediately after that, Trey Vincent joined Sharc in a beatdown of Alias, only for KSZ -- yet again -- to save the day. Alias and Keith had an epic staredown to end the show, setting the stage for their showdown next week.
